Welcome to St Peter and St Mary Fishbourne in West Sussex. We hope you that on this website you will be able to find all the information you might require about the Church and the adjoining Church Hall, called St Peter’s Place.
is to be:
A vibrant community Church
with a welcoming heart,
sharing Christ’s love
by serving the Parish of Fishbourne
A TIME OF NATIONAL MOURNING
HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh
(1921 – 2021)
Following the announcement of Prince Philip’s death, churches have been asked to create a place where people can remember him, and give thanks for his life. During this pandemic it is sadly not feasible to leave our churches open, but we do offer the following spaces for you to use.
A special place for prayer will be set up in the garden of memories, to the right of the hall entrance. Here you will be able to sit for a while, give your own special thanks and remember a man who gave so much. What a wonderful way to use this place.
The church porch will become a little chapel, a place to sit, pray and remember this great man.
In both spaces, there will be a photo and some printed prayers for you to use if you wish.
Please do remember keep a safe distance from others.
I do hope to be able to offer a short open air service on the day of his funeral if you would like to join me, more details about this will be sent out midweek.
