Annual Ride and Stride.

Takes place on Saturday 14th September in aid of The Historic Churches Trust. Let’s Learn Together


An invitation to explore some Christian themes on 3rd Sunday evenings of the month. The next meeting takes palce on 
Sunday 15th September
 5:30 – 7:00pm. 
At St Peter’s Place, our church hall adjacent to St Peter and St Mary’s Church, Fishbourne. The theme is 
“Being a good leader”
(We’re all leaders sometimes!?)
. What does the bible have to say?
 There will be an interval for tea and coffee midway. We hope these evenings will be interactive and informative. Please invite your friends. 
All are very welcome.

Quiz with Fish and Chip Supper

In aid of the Bible Society 
from 6 pm-9 pm Saturday 21st September 2019 at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, Durnford Close, Chichester, PO19 3AT. Price £10 includes fish and chips supper and soft drink. Contact Marion (01243 785226)

Apuldram’s Autumn Fair and Festival of Flowers.


The theme is the Theatre with designs based on opera to plays, ballets to rock ‘n roll – Shakespeare to Stravins
 Preview Party: 19 September at 6pm – 8pm – tickets available.
 Open to public: Friday 20, 10.30 to 7pm – Saturday 21 10.30 – 6pm and Sunday 22 September 11am – 5pm. 
Nearly 30 designs with arrangers from across West Sussex –

Messy Church.
 
Sunday 13th October at 4.30pm in St Peter’s Place. The Theme this month is “Love Your Neighbour” The Good Samaritan Story. There will be – Activities Games Crafts and Worship and Lovely food. Free for all but donations welcome. Everyone welcome (Children must be accompanied by an adult) 

Safeguarding.


On the 16th October, at 7.15 p.m a safeguarding training session will take place in St. Peter’s place so as to bring us up to date with what the diocese expects from parishes. Churchwardens, members of the PCC’s, those who help with Messy Church and Storytellers, are all expected to attend. Safeguarding within the church is the responsibility of us all, therefore this training is open to anyone who would like to attend, please let Moira know if you will be coming.

Harvest 2019.

Our Harvest services will take place on. All donated food items will be taken to Stonepillow and the Food bank, as we remember those who have so little. Please put the date in your diaries, more details next week.

Can you help?

Many of you know that Joan has had to give up cleaning the brass for the church, after many, many years of service. We thank her for her faithfulness, but now need someone to take on this rewarding job. It can be done at a time that suits you, at least monthly, so if you would like some quiet time in the church, and feel you would enjoy doing this, please speak to Moira.

We need your talent

Calling all musicians, can you play the organ, piano or some other instrument, or do you know someone who does and would like to help out at our Sunday services. Please speak to Moira on 01243 530198.

Prayer tree:

You are invited to write a prayer on one of the luggage labels on the prayer table and hang it on the prayer tree.  Perhaps it could be a prayer of praise and thanksgiving or may be a prayer of intercession. Thank you.

Coffee after Church:

We have a few gaps on our rota for several Sundays this summer. If you feel you could help out, please let Sue know.
